PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT AND COMMITMENT

All players are expected to follow the guidelines set forth by Baseball U Long Island:

    • Commitment: Baseball U LI will be my primary team for the duration of the season. I will attend all practices, games, and team events unless excused in advance for an approved absence.

    • Sportsmanship: I will refrain from unsportsmanlike gestures, taunting, foul language, or profanity. Respect for opponents is expected at all times.

    • Respect for Officials: I will respect the umpires and accept their decisions as final.

    • Respect for the Game: I will respect my teammates, coaches, and spectators, representing Baseball U LI with pride.

    • Equipment Care: I will not throw bats, helmets, gloves, or any object on or off the field.

    • Coach’s Decisions: I will accept the coaches’ decisions regarding positions, playing time, and strategy.

    • Proper Appearance: I will wear my hat facing forward and keep my jersey tucked in at all times.


Program Policy:
Baseball U LI reserves the right to remove any player from the program for poor sportsmanship, lack of effort, repeated absences, or actions that negatively impact the team environment.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT AND COMMITMENT

All parents and guardians are expected to follow the guidelines set forth by the team and the Baseball U Long Island (BULI) program:


  • Punctuality: Ensure your player arrives on time for practices, games, and team events.

  • Sportsmanship: Promote good sportsmanship and positive team spirit at every event.

  • Positive Support: Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement for all players, not just your own.

  • Respect for Players: Do not speak negatively about another player’s performance — either in a group setting or one-on-one.

  • Respect for All: Treat players, coaches, umpires, and spectators with respect at all times.

  • Umpires & Coaches: Accept all umpire decisions as final and respect coaches’ decisions regarding positions and playing time.

  • Communication: Direct any concerns about playing time to a BULI Administrator, never to a coach.

  • Sideline Behavior: Refrain from giving players in-game instructions that conflict with coaches’ direction.

  • Team Areas: Stay out of dugouts and other team-designated areas during

Program Policy:
BULI reserves the right to release any player from the program for poor sportsmanship by the player or their family, or for other reasons including — but not limited to — lack of cooperation, poor attitude, lack of commitment, effort, or attendance.
